USHA "The dreamer" by AUDE GOOLY
USHA « The dreamer » (“La rêveuse”)
•She is an exalted goddess in the Rig Veda (ancient Indian collection of Vedic Sanskrit hymns ). She is often spoken of in the plural, "the Dawns." She is portrayed as warding off evil spirits of the night, and as a beautifully adorned young woman riding in a golden chariot on her path across the sky. Due to her colour she is often identified with the reddish cows, and both are released by Indra from the Vala cave at the beginning of time.
• Female spirit of the clouds and waters in Hindu and Buddhist mythology, this Apsara is beautiful, a supernatural female being. She is youthful and elegant, and superb in the art of dancing. Hindu scriptures allow for the existence of numerous Apsaras, who act as the handmaidens of Indra or as dancers at his celestial court.
